More seniors living in residential facilities and their caregivers throughout the county are now getting vaccinated. Today, Westmont Living facility in La Mesa administered 185 doses in partnership with CVS. The Executive Director says today is a huge step in the right direction.
“It’s a very, very exciting day. It’s like a party. We actually dressed up the room to make it look like a very festive atmosphere because it is, and it should be. The residents are taking it that way. It’s a real positive step; it’s a ray of light, of hope, for the future,” says Executive Director David Armour of Westmont of La Mesa.
He also says down the road there will be additional opportunities every three weeks for residents and staff to get their shot.
