Q: What is Senior Living? How does it differ from assisted living or independent living?

A: “Senior Living” encompasses a range of options for older adults, including “independent living” and “assisted living.” Independent living is for older adults looking to enjoy the company of peers and an active lifestyle. Assisted living is for people who need help with certain daily tasks, like managing daily medications, bathing, dressing and grooming. Both independent living and assisted living are available at Westmont Living communities where the level of care is personalized to meet your individual needs.

Q: What options does Westmont Living offer for people with Alzheimer’s or Dementia?

A: Many of the Westmont Living Communities offer the Compass Rose® Memory Care program. This program was designed in cooperation with a nationally recognized gerontologist to guide both residents and their families as we care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other memory impairments. We complete an Individual Care Plan and Life History to assess each residents needs in order to create a well rounded approach including activities, meals, and overall well being. Our goal is to provide a culture that is a life-affirming, meaningful and satisfying, while respecting the choice and dignity of our residents. We believe in sharing the Alzheimer’s journey with residents, family and friends in our Navigator’s Family Support groups. Our Navigator’s Family Support group offers education and the opportunity to share experiences with others.

The activities at a Westmont Living community range from Wii Sports, themed parties, volunteer opportunities, dancing, crafts, reading, and pet therapy.

Q: What services do you offer at Westmont Living?

A: Services provided at the Westmont Living campuses include: • 24 hour dedicated and caring staff • Dine Your Way- You select from a variety of menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner in our restaurant style dining facilities • Live Your Way ® activities with a variety of programs, outing and events for every lifestyle • Light housekeeping and linen service • Wheel chair accessible transportation • Assistance available for those who need help with the tasks of daily living such as bathing and dressing • Concierge services • Emergency response system • On Site maintenance

Q: What are the costs associated with Westmont Living Communities?

A: The cost of living at a Westmont Living community varies based on the size of the unit and types of services required. Each campus has a variety of options, including 1 and 2 bedroom apartments or cottages, studio apartments and in some cases shared accommodations. The cost of utilities and services such as housekeeping, transportation, maintenance and activities are all included in the base rent costs as well as up to 3 meals in our restaurant style dining facilities. Cable television is available at all communities with costs varying by community. Additional charges for residents, who need services such as help bathing or with medication management, will be determined on an individual basis and can be reevaluated at any time. Q: Do you offer any satisfaction guarantee?

A: Yes, we offer the Peace of Mind Satisfaction Guarantee?. Peace of Mind is essential these days, and we are focused on resident satisfaction and providing the best in Inspired Retirement Living®. Our guarantee is simple, if you are not completely satisfied for any reason you may move out without penalty within the first 60 days of living in your new residence.

Q: Do you offer Respite Care?

A: Yes, the Westmont Living Rest Assured? Temporary Stay Program provides a full range of services and amenities for short-term stays of up to one month in duration. It is our pleasure to assist you during a transition after rehab or a stay in the hospital and before returning home, or when a caregiver is in need of rest and rejuvenation. As a guest you will enjoy the comforts of home as well as full access to the Live Your Way® Wellness program, Dine Your Way meal plan, 24 hour dedicated and caring staff and individualized care.

Q: Can I bring my own furnishings?

A: Absolutely. This is your home and you should have all the comforts and furnishings you enjoy. Westmont Living residents enjoy decorating their apartments and entrance ways to showcase their personalities and to feel at home.

Q: Are Pets allowed at the communities?

A: We realize that pets are part of your family, therefore most Westmont Living communities allow for you to have a pet within your residence. There is a weight and size limit along with a pet deposit that would be required.

Q: Is there access to transportation, and is it wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes, Westmont Living provides transportation that is wheelchair accessible at all of our communities. Transportation is available for scenic drives, trips to the store, and doctor’s appointments.

Q: Is there an emergency response system?

A: All Westmont Living apartments are equipped with emergency response systems.

Q: What dining options do I have? Can you accommodate special diets?

A: The Dine Your Way program allows for you to decide what your preferences are for your meals. In our restaurant-style dining facilities you have the option to decide your meals each day. Special dietary needs are easily accommodated by our Executive Chefs and their teams. Enjoy fresh, healthy choices that are always in-season.
